Commissioning Flick Photographic to Create Specific Images for Your Company or Organization

Quotes on Hired Photographic Assignments
This is the main method for us to figure overall costs for any given assignment. This will be negotiated.

Hourly Rate
An hourly rate is yet another way to hire Flick Photographic.

Travel Time
Compensation for travel is normally incorporated into the price quote you'll receive. Flick Photographic (with travel experience to over 60 countries or territories worldwide) will handle all travel arrangements.

Lodging Costs
If travel and more than one day is involved with your particular assignment, lodging costs will be incorporated into your overall quote.

Additional Crew Costs
Whether you will have us travel to Vietnam or to central Florida, your particular needs may require additional persons on board as part of the shooting crew. These include: photographer's assistants - who help set up and take down photography equipment, lighting, sets, and props; a stylist - who arranges for and builds the set; a make-up artist - who ensures that the model or models are perfect for the image; and models - who are usually paid either an hourly rate or an entire trip rate.

Using Existing Images within Flick Photoraphic's Image Library

Usage Rate of Existing Photographs is to be Negotiated Based on Several Factors:
1) The geographic area or areas targeted;
2) The number of publishing venues in which photograph will appear;
3) The total number of instances used (or the time period of use);
4) The demand rate for the particular photograph requested.

Models: Rates for Hiring Flick Photographic To Complete Your Portfolio

Package 1: $350.00
Includes four changes of wardrobe
Final products: 15 PhotoShop'd images placed on CD. For $40 more, you get two 8 inch x 10 inch prints (also on CD).

Package 2: $500.00
Includes five changes of wardrobe
Final products: 25 PhotoShop'd images placed on CD, + For $70 more, you get four 8 inch x 10 inch prints (also on CD).

Package 3: $630.00
Includes six changes of wardrobe
Final products: 35 PhotoShop'd images placed on CD, + For $100 more, you get six 8 inch x 10 inch prints (also on CD).

Package 4: $850.00
Includes eight changes of wardrobe
Final products: 50 PhotoShop'd images placed on CD, + For $120 more, you get eight 8 inch x 10 inch prints (also on CD).
This package may take 2 sessions instead of one.

For all Packages
CD includes allotted photos burned to a CD in JPG printable format.
The phrase "PhotoShop'd images per wardrobe change" means photos taken and placed on a CD, not photos printed. Flick Photographic selects the best images from those taken.

Portrait rates: Sitting Fee: $100, Non-Refundable
Final products: Three 8 inch x 10 inch prints - $75

Section 2: Policies

Working with Professional or Aspiring Models - Expectations and Policies:

Compensation - TFCD:
TFCD ("Time for CD") is an abbreviation for trading a photographer's time and talent for finished images on a CD that are given to the model). In the industry, the term used is "Test Shoot". For TFCD, I will either e-mail you the final PhotoShop'd images, or provide you with a CD, or both. Your choice. I'm fast about getting images to you. My photography has value and normally people pay me for my photography because of my skill. In this case, we are trading our talents for our mutual benefit.

Scholarships may be available for specific image trades or themes. This is based on my portfolio needs at the time. Sometimes this is not an option.

Compensation - Paid Assignments:
If we are contracting for paid work, we will negotiate a set price or an hourly rate in advance, and when necessary, we may sign a contract prior to the shoot date. If distance is involved, we can sign and fax the contract. Faxed contracts are valid and recognized in the State of Florida. As stated above, I hire models that I have previously worked with and who are known quantities. I will not hire an untried model for pay without working with her first, or obtaining glowing testimonials. Over time, I have learned that this is the best policy and it protects my business.

Working with Professionals:
When a client hires me for an assignment, I hire and pay for models that I have previously worked with, or who can provide a lengthy and stellar reference list. They are a known quantity. I normally use my prior TFCD work with models as a proving ground for upcoming paid work. In other words, I have the confidence about a particular model's reliability and ability to work well with others. I never hire an untested model (for paid work), ...ever. I've learned from experience to be cautious. If you want paid assignments, I have them. But at a minimum, we should complete a test shoot together or meet first as a prerequisite for paid work.

One last thing. When a client contacts me, he or she is typically seeking a particular look in a model. They will describe what they want. So you may be perfect for one assignment and all wrong for another. Please do not take this personally. It goes with the territory.

Working Attitude is Important:
I enjoy working with extroverts who take direction well. But I am also flexible and will show sensitive attention to new models who exhibit a strong desire to learn. I am like a director who coaches emotion out of you and for the image.

Punctuality and Reliability on the Day of the Shoot:
Of course, show up on time for the pre-shoot meeting and the shoot itself. For new models, this is certainly a test of your professionalism and dedication.

Photographic Release & Intended Usage:
I use a full ASMP standard, approved release which protects both the photographer and model. I need full rights to my photography. I copyright my images too. Typical usage: Advertisements, stock photography, web pages, self promotion, and published sources such as newspapers and magazines. It depends on the client or my need.
